Wow, that was a really interesting and cool read. It’s crazy how everything is connected. As an Illini fan I can tell you Bill Self is a great recruiter but an average head coach. That has been evident over the past few years and choke jobs he has pulled. He tried to pull another one last night. He needed that win bad, real bad. For some reason the guy just doesn’t have “it”. I don’t what “it” is, but I don’t see it. Anyway you look at it he has a chance to win it all and I am super happy for him. I was also very happy to see Cellini, I mean Calipari get the W. Man I’ve been saying it all along those guys are clones. I think they look so much alike. As for the game, I’ll take Memphis. I don’t think the two best teams are there, but that’s the beauty of college basketball. Both teams have great athletes, but Rose and Douglas-Roberts refuse to lose. As for the next level… Rose will probably be the number two overall pick, the kid is the real deal. Psycho T should come back for another year, he has a Mark Madsen career ahead of him. He should come back for another run at the title.

Wow, CDR and Rose both pulled huge choke jobs. I still claim to know more about any sport than any other human alive, but I didn't see that choke job coming. One thing I do see is Bill Self getting paid. I mean PAID. He'll get offered over 4 Mil a year from OK State with Pickens, and he can hang that, a final four appearance, a win over UNC/Williams and a title over KU's head. CHI CHING!!! And we all thought Billy got paid after his two titles. That number will be chump change to Self within a month. Bank on that.

Memphis really made their free throws when they counted! At least the best team from top to bottom won it all this year. What i can't believe is that the game was as close as it was. Memphis seemed shell shocked when each player was staring across at a better or equal athlete. If Kansas shot the three more efficiently they win by double digits. The two best, or should I say, most athletic teams (by far) played and the better team one. Calipari leaves a lot to be desired in his game management skills. Kansas couldn't shoot that night and they were getting the ball inside way to easy, go to a zone and use your length. No adjustment was made, Kansas made big plays late and dominated the OT. Great game, I'm happy Kansas could pull it off.

"I still claim to know more about any sport than any other human alive" Wow, that is a mighty bold claim Mr. Simmons. Man, I wish I could make claims like that. However, one thing I can claim is "where ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise."

Ha Ha, good call Matty my boy. I just wanted to stir things up a bit. You know me better than anyone and know I am the last person in the world who would ever mean something like that. I'm the 24/7 stressed out basket case. I thought I was the only one who ever went on this website! Glad to see there are others out there. This really was a great blog by Professor Choi and Dr. Frederick. Good game last night. See you guys in a few hours.

Wow, Mark Madsen....lets give Psycho T a little more credit than that. This guy has crazy intensity that i have not seen on the floor in a long time. I do agree he wont be a superstar but how about the likes of a Ronnie Turiaf, a guy who can come off the bench and provide a spark on the boards, and sometimes offensively. However i do agree with Choi on the Rose comment. This guy is a freak of nature, the way he glides through the air and makes guys who guard him look like they've never played before. I think Beasley will be a better pro, however Rose will fit better as we all know there is a shortage of really good PG's in the league. He is not a selfish player and a better scorer than most...maybe CP3 with a higher point average...crazy i know but the kid is legit. Anyway this years final was brutal. Im glad KU won simply because they beat my Tar Heels. It was rough but better to lose to the Champion than to lose to second place.
