One of the projects that I would like to get started this summer while in Korea is the
USF Sport Management Study Asia Program...
Looking to kick off in Jan-Feb 2009, I'd like to bring
10-12 grad students from USF Sport Management to observe,
understand, and appreciate the diversity of global sport business
by spending a week or so in Asia...
Ideally, I'd like to visit a major sporting facility/event, a sport business venture,
and an academic classroom from each of the three countries... Korea, China, and Japan...
Need to look for an agency who can take care of transportation, accommodations, meals, and sightseeing during the trip...
The first stop would be Korea...gotta visit the World Cup Stadium in Seoul,
then maybe a visit to Seoul National Univ or Sogang University...and then
to Chosun Ilbo or K-League... ooh...gotta take them to one of those chicken-cage
driving ranges in Korea - a place where future LPGA dreams are being conceived...
The next stop will be China - gotta visit the Bird Nest in Beijing and LG China
with KK, and maybe a visit to the Olympic Organizing Committee...gotta look for a sport management program there...
The last but not the least destination will be Japan...with a stop at Nike Japan with Jim Godbout and the Tokyo Dome...one of the J-League teams would be interesting too...I also need to get a hold of a Japanese Sport Management professor...
It will be fun...

Dr. Choi,
Great class last week! Even with strep throat and vicodin cough syrup, I had a great time. I checked out your blog and it is really interesting; there are so many different topics covered. If the Sport Management Study Asia Program comes to fruition before I graduate, I would LOVE to go!!!
See you Tuesday,
Jackie
