Members of Cohort 25 in USF Sport Management Program
have truly personified what a real-world marketing is all about.
A big component of their Marketing Plan Project for the 2009
National Senior Games has been adopted and implemented
by the Bay Area Sport Organizing Committee (BASOC).
"Seen Your Game?" was the marketing tagline that they have developed
and proposed to the BASOC last year and their idea has come to a fruition
as the BASOC has recently developed a microsite using
the tagline. www.seenyourgame.org (Coming Soon).
This is an excellent example of learning-experience that reaches above
and beyond the classroom boundaries and positively impacting the
community. This is a proud moment for me as the teacher and colleague
of these fine young men and women. Kudos to Jesse Zitrin, Alesia Harris, Eric Smith, Rachel Thomas, and Terence Wan for the job well-done!
Future cohorts should be encouraged by this great news, and stay driven and focused
throughout the duration of group project - which can be difficult and frustrating at times. Rewards for gutting out this process can be no more real than something like this.
(One of the creatives that the students have actually proposed in the marketing plan.)
Anyone interested in landing an internship for management of this microsite
